HI! THANKS FOR BEING HERE.
I'm Justine- herbalist, self care advocate, holistic hair stylist, dog mom & perfectly imperfect human being! I am devoted to personal & collective wellness through self care, community & connection to nature. Healer's Harvest is a manifestation of my personal healing path & professional endeavors after more than a decade of working with people & plants.
I began my career as a hairstylist in 2006 when I was trained on Newbury Street by some of "Boston's Best" stylists in the Vidal Sasoon method. My style & inspiration combines individuality, practicality & precision techniques. My specialties include working with fine hair, enhancing clients natural beauty & scalp health.
I use organic, plant based & environmentally responsible product lines, including Original & Mineral (O&M an ammonia free & non-toxic color line) & Organic Way (OWAY).
My philosophy is that hair care is an ancient, intimate & luxurious self care ritual. I am blessed to be able to align my values with my work by blending my passions for natural beauty, the environment & wellness while attracting a like minded community of clients & coworkers.
In 2011, I started down my plant path. I took time off to travel with the goal of being more connected with nature & self reliant. I volunteered & worked on a variety of farms including the Herb Pharm, a production herb farm in southern Oregon; Waiheke Valley Permaculture Farm in New Zealand; Kealaola Lettuce Farm in Hawaii; Pacific Quest, a horticultural therapy program for teens & young adults & Elliot Farm, a vegetable farm in Lakeville, MA. Throughout my travels & work on farms I experienced many moments of genuine awe, gratitude & inspiration. I knew in those moments that my relationship with plants & nature was just beginning.
Since then, I have worked as a fine gardener & in apothecaries including Farmacy Herbs in Providence, RI & The Little Herb Shop in Littleton, NH. I have acquired five certificates in herbalism (& counting!) qualifying me to practice clinically in advising the public on how to use plants for healing purposes.
In 2021, I founded Healer's Harvest & successfully launched The Herbalist's Circle, an online collaborative of herbalist's who meet monthly to strengthen their herbal practices. We offer plant walks & herbal consultations to educate our community on the healing benefits of native plants & how to use them. We also create small batch organic herbal products & custom blends that are inspired by the cycles of nature & designed to encourage a strong connection to the natural world.
